How do you Bridge the gap between Theoretical Knowledge and Actionable to get Results

Just a few years ago, I asked myself what was the difference between Theoretical & Actionable Knowledge?

Perhaps in my opinion, one of the best people to ask would be a civil engineer.  Why do I make this statement.  Well, first let us clear the stage for discussion by defining two types of knowledge.

1)  Theoretical Knowledge - is the concept of studying facts while pausing to act.
2)  Actionable Knowledge  -  information that makes individuals immediately act.

In college, perhaps I paused to think about taking action.  In the military, I did not have time to pause & think about taking action.

An example of modern day Actionable Knowledge is

On January 3, 2026, U.S. Special Forces executed "Operation Absolute Resolve," removing Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, from their compound in Caracas, Venezuela.  The operation began around 2:00 a.m.  (1:00 a.m. EST), with forces extracting the couple and leaving the area by approximately 3:29 a.m.  (2:29 a.m. EST) .  (AI - GOOGLE)

The picture seen above is what we will call an example of a
Theoretical Knowledge , because there was
a pause to discuss the construction of the West Interchange of I-20 and I-285 highways.

Now don't get me wrong.  This is the best example illustrated
to teach kids on how to gather information based on timing.

The Trouble I've Seen As A Homeless Man

" The Sky looks blue because the reflection of the seas are what we actually see. "   On the morning of January 18th 2025,  I repeatedly made the statement to control my emotions ( anger, anxiety, fear, frustration & rage.) Why?  To stay in control of my temperament.

Fore, at that moment, I was making an effort to wash up at a sink in the restroom of a male homeless shelter located in East Atlanta, Georgia.

A white man who I will falsely call Toby Cobb,  served as the Night Host on duty.  He had no idea that I was well trained by the U.S. Marine Corps with an honorable discharge.

As I made an attempt to clean myself. This person kept demanding that I turn off the water faucet I used to brush my teeth. I flatly refused.

After  seeing that I was not going to comply with his demands - he left the restroom stating that he was going to call the police.

When things appeared to settle, I instantly knew Toby Cobb was planning to remove me from the shelter.

Nevertheless, it was raining heavy or hard outside the facility. I was monitoring the weather via the weather app located on my cellular phone.

Also, I made an assessment to go and wash my clothes at a local laundry mat in nearby Dekalb county, Georgia.

Then, I pulled out my rain suit, put on my winter coat and rain suit over my clothing.

It was my intent to leave the homeless shelter facility at 7:45 am.  As I proceeded to walk out of the building,  Toby Cobb walked up to me to say the Atlanta Police Department was called by him to arrest me.

What Toby Cobb did not know,  I was a former Dekalb County Sheriff's Deputy.

Therefore, I stopped what I was doing once I packed up all my belongings to leave the male homeless shelter to wait for the Police.

When the Officer of the Atlanta Police Department arrived, he asked Toby Cobb what was going on.

He stated that Mr. Adams threatened his life by making a statement about the sky.

Then, he asked me what I say.    I told him, " The Sky looks blue because the reflection of the seas are what we actually see. "

The officer recognized that I was wearing a Rain Suit with a book bag.   I told the Officer that I was about to leave and go wash my clothes.

Therefore, the Officer allowed me to leave the premises and escorted me down the street.

 " The Sky looks blue because the reflection of the seas are what we actually see.  "  This statement is a true scientific fact.

In lieu of stating my social security number while under interrogation, I decided to quote a fact about the sky we see with our eyes in daylight.

I understand now, why my father always said,  " Think your way out of the situation and leave your emotions at peace. "

The Civil Strife, Good / Evil - World War 3

I took a moment after an emotional phone call with a family member to read the words of the title of this blog that I just wrote to wonder, if I in fact had gone crazy out of my mind.  Fore, it was not the first time that I was called a Verbally Abusive Person and will not be the last.

Civil Strife refers to prolonged internal conflict, disorder, or struggle within a country, involving opposing groups fighting for power, resources, or change, leading to social disruption, violence, and instability, often rooted in deep political, economic, or social grievances. It encompasses riots, rebellions, and civil wars, where different factions within a nation clash, disrupting normal life and challenging central authority.

Good and evil are fundamental concepts in ethics and culture, representing forces of morality (right, beneficial, altruistic) versus immorality (wrong, harmful, destructive), often seen as an eternal struggle, with definitions varying across religions, philosophies, and individuals, but generally centering on actions that promote life/well-being versus those that cause suffering.

World War III is a hypothetical future global conflict; it has not occurred.

Today in Greenland, they have concerns of
conflict with the United States of America.

Today in the Ukraine, they experience a conflict
with Russian Federation (Российская Федерация).

Today in Venezuela, they experience the removal of the President of Venezuela by the President of the United States.

What we did not know was that Cuba was protecting
this Venezuela President.  A total of 32 Cuban
Soldiers were killed in the attack.  Their remains were
returned to Cuba.

And this list goes deeper.

I personally have my opinions, but will keep these
thoughts to myself and wait to
hear what God is saying to all of us on Earth.

But, I will agree to one thing.  We all have conscience. 
My conscience has God in it.

Changing Your Direction In Life Due To A Look Of Embarrassment

Perhaps, I am not something to look at...   I do not make that statement in a negative light.  Nor do I say it to be a narcissistic person.  But,  I state it, because when you ask someone to tell you about you whether they are your friend or foe.

  Get ready for the answer , fore, it may not be something that you may or may not accept.

In fact, my Elders have often told me to take criticism like a grain of salt to use it to make you a better person. 

This morning, I called up a lady on the cell phone to see how she was doing. In the course of the conversation, we spoke of her Brother, her Sister, her Father, her Nephew and of course Me.

Having known this Lady for years by her Character.  I knew that I was about to step in some mess with my name on it.

So, why in the Hell did I call her !?

Answer:  There is a method to my madness.  It is called, " Show you care to the least of us. "

Why!   To better oneself.

On January 2nd 2026, I received an email from the Federal Government that the percentage for taking action to pay back promptly is 4.125%.  This percentage will be from  January 1–June 30, 2026.

I can hear someone yelling, " Who cares C. Henry, where do you get this stuff?! "

In my opinion tradition is something man, woman, child or even animal, creature or bacteria repeats over & over again to thrive.  It has multiple memories.  It is not always good or bad.  It is a thing that human beings honor by doing annually, hourly, by the minute & second until they are dead or no longer in physical existence.  It is a thing that transcends before and after human being, animal, creature life on this earth. The word century identifies with time, tradition and existence.  Tradition is a repeated effort. A repeated process.  What made me ask this question as an inquisitive soul? What is tradition, my answer is God.

Watch Night Worship Service - Wednesday December 31st 2025

On Wednesday December 31st 2025

Before Pastor Jay ; Director Cornelius Pettway led the Big Bethel AME Church Music Ministry to start the service with worship in music.

Following this event, Doxology opened the service.

An opening hymn of praise was given which led to a prayer of invocation.

Following the prayer chant, a scripture was read. ( Matthew 25: 36-44, NRSVUE ) 

Then, the lighting of Kwanzaa Candles by Rev. Dr. Monica C. Jones & Sister Ariel Nash.

Sister Shirley Y. Simmons gave the reason for the tradition of Watch Night.

Pastor Jay invited several Church Members & Guests to come forth and give their testimony.

"testimony" means a solemn declaration, witness, or evidence, referring to God's revealed truth (like the Law/Ten Commandments), but also to personal stories of faith, showing God's work in a believer's life to affirm His reality, grace, and power

Several Church Members, Guests, and Clergy Members gave their individual testimonies.

Then Sister Ariel Nash presented the worship of giving.

The choir sung and 






 ( " Pastor Jay  " ) the Reverend Doctor Jonathan C. Augustine, Senior Pastor of Big Bethel AME Church located at 220 Auburn Avenue, NE in Atlanta, Georgia stirred the minds of the Church Members and Guests alike in his sermon entitled, " Don't Go Back To Egypt ".

Exodus 16: 2-4 verses and 9-15 verses in the new revised standard version (NSV) of the Holy Bible.

An invitation to join the Church was given, then the Doxology and blessings of the food was given by Pastor Jay to end the service.

Update ( 12-4-25 ) of I-285 / I-20 West Interchange

On Thursday, December 4th 2025, I had the opportunity to attend the I-285 / I-20 West Interchange meeting which is P.L. Number 0013918. This event was held at the Emma Darnell Aviation Museum & Conference Center located off Fulton Industrial Blvd on the Fulton County Airport, also known as Charlie Brown Field , a county-owned, public-use airport in Fulton County, Georgia, United States.

Basically the discussions were Improvements:

*  Removal of left-hand, ramp entrance and exits, Improvements to horizontal and vertical alignments, and construction of two-lane ramps within the interchange

*  Construction of a westbound collector-distributor system, or connecting lanes, * from the I-285 / I-20 West Interchange to Fulton Industrial Blvd.

*  Construction of additional lanes along I-20  from Factory Shoals Road east to Hamilton E. Holmes Drive and a long I-285 from MLK Jr Drive North to Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway to accommodate Interchange improvements

*  Modifications or replacement of bridges within the interchange and along I-20 and I-285


Although, several residents of the  I-285 / I-20 West Interchange made it known that due to the removal trees, sound barrier walls and construction, they could not relax peacefully at their homes.

Answering A Special Call - Patricia Elaine Robinson Tate the Great Neonatal Nurse & Manager

I find it to be true.  When you ask God for help, it is very likely that he has  already answered.


It took many years to understand that the greatest power of a human being is unconditional love.


If power is defined as the ability to do something or act in a particular way, then this mentor that we are about to tell you of in this particular blog; will make you believe that doing good things to help others will likely change your individual life forever.


Once in a town called Steubenville, Ohio.  A young woman join the Steubenville High School band.  It is said that she played the saxophone.  Now, this young lady was no ordinary person.  Prior to playing saxophone in the " Big Red Marching Band ", she cheered the team as a Cheer Leader.


Perhaps, someone motivated her.  People like Martin Luther King Jr. said, " If you were a street sweeper,  be the very best street sweeper that you could become. "


Patricia Elaine maintained good grades in High School and graduated to later attend Akron University in Akron, Ohio as a Nursing Student.


Once she completed her studies while at  the newly built Mary E. Gladwin Hall , a place which is said to help students focus on relationships with the surrounding community;  she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Akron University.


Inspired, she left the State of Ohio to move south to the State of Georgia.  By 1981, she had become a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse at Grady Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.


Filled with compassion, in 1992 she joined the Emory Regional Center to work as a Neonatal Transport Nurse.  As a member of Angel II Transport Team, Patricia Elaine exceeds to higher heights.


Fully aware of what she wanted to do in life, by 1995 she had accomplished a Masters of Science in Nursing degree from Georgia State University.

In 2019, this great nurse was recognized as the DAISY Nurse Leader. 

What does the acronym DAISY stand for in this discussion?

Dedicated to Mr. Odis Howard Sr. ' Field Services '

On the evening of December 17th 2025, I received a text message via my email address that shocked me, then brought me back to reality.  With life, there will be death. What one person gains going through this journey is likely not measurable.

The message from the daughter of a great mentor  simply stated that her Father passed away that morning.

Then, I heard this saying and I can actually witness the fact of it being true by the very person I speak of in this blog.

‘ When life changes, you don’t lay down and die.   Instead, you get up and
keep moving.’


Once in April of 1995, I recall Mr. Odis Howard, Sr. stand with some young men and myself at a Wedding event representing his son, Odis Howard, Jr who was away serving our country (USA) during a major war conflict.

At that time, I realized how blessed I was and all of the men standing with us were to have Mr. Odis Howard, Sr. representing his Son and the Howard Family.

Following that experience - other times, I found myself calling up Mr. Howard on the phone to discuss the Atlanta Falcons during Football Season.  He is and will always be an inspiration to me.

Thank you Mr. Odis Howard, Sr. for your motivation.  Until we meet again, take care, Sir.

A repast will be held following the burial at the Lutheran Church of the Atonement.

The family sincerely appreciates all prayers, love, and support during this time of bereavement.

Affinity Group: You Know, Those ' Special Kind Of People ' in America

On April 30th 2025, I lost my sister, Mable Jean.  For months since her death, it has been a great struggle to move forward.  Fore, she left behind a Husband, a Son, a Daughter,  2 Grand Daughters, a Group of  Other Daughters, a Family Pet and her last Brother - C. Henry Adams



May I ask you, what do these groups of people make up?

I can hear someone answer, ' An Affinity Group? '

That is correct!  

According to Google Artificial Intelligence  (AI)  Overview,   

An Affinity Group is a voluntary gathering of people with a shared identity, interest, or experience, such as race, gender, sexual orientation, or professional role. These groups provide a "safe space" for members to connect, find support, and work toward common goals, which can include professional development, community building, or advocacy. They are also sometimes called employee resource groups (ERGs) in a workplace context. 

So why would you need to investigate an Affinity Group who are everyday, hard working people supporting their communities throughout the United States of America?

Stay Woke Atlanta On Sunday 09-28-25

In today's society, secrecy, encryption and learning to speak out without the enemy ever speaking a word against one self is still prevalent.  Also, the City of Atlanta, Georgia Government refused to end Diversity, Equity , and Inclusion (DEI) and doing so forfeited $37.5 million dollars in federal airport funding which happens to reject taking candy from the devil.  I'm sorry, it turns down the Trump Adminstration request to end Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

According to the Google Articifical Intelligence (AI), the term "woke" has many meanings for the African American Culture:

*  a call to social action

*  a call to social awareness

*  a highly controversial political label

*  used in different, often conflicting ways

Incidentally, Google AI stated, as of late 2025, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) has a strong financial status, backed by high passenger traffic, favorable credit ratings, and robust revenue streams, despite recently forfeiting $37.5 million dollars in federal grants.

Now back to this blog article. (LOL)

On Sunday, September 28th 2025, I had the opportunity to get involve with an annual pilgrimage to Historic Oakland Cemetery from Big Bethel AME Church in the City of Atlanta, Georgia.

By the way, Big Bethel AME Church is the oldest Church in Atlanta, Georgia  -  having been established in 1847, roughly 178 years ago.

Historic Oakland Cemetery Entrance 09/28/25 

Historic Oakland Cemetery was established in 1850 by the City of Atlanta as a public burial ground for its residents.  It was originally named Atlanta Cemetery and renamed (Historic) Oakland Cemetery in 1872. 

Note, the American Civil War in and around the City of Atlanta, Georgia buried dead soldiers in Atlanta Cemetery.

At one point this cemetery was once the resting place of a diverse group of people. But, Jim Crow Laws may have changed times, fore, bodies of African American descents & exslaves were exhumed.

In 1877, the city of Atlanta exhumed the bodies of African Americans buried in the segregated "Slave Square" at Oakland Cemetery and moved them to the cemetery's "colored pauper grounds". The reburial was done to sell the "Slave Square" plots to white families for a profit. This incident is a key reason why formerly enslaved Black Atlantans founded South-View Cemetery in 1886—to provide a proper and dignified burial place for their community. 

Side Note:  The Prince Hall Grand Lodge Jurisdiction of Georgia was established in 1870 twenty years following the cemetery official development.

The Prince Hall Grand Lodge, Jurisdiction of Georgia has a significant historical connection to Oakland Cemetery through the prominent burial of its members and leaders in the cemetery's African American Burial Grounds. The graves of influential Prince Hall Masons are located in the cemetery, including that of Dr. Henry Rutherford Butler, a Grand Master who led the organization in the early 20th century.  He was a member of Big Bethel AME Church.

The annual pilgrimage from Big Bethel AME Church was designed to tell a true story. 

It was not to create fantasy, but it was develop to prepare those of us all about our reality of our World we live in this very day.

Reverend Joeseph A. Wood Grave  09/28/25

Reverend Joeseph A. Wood was the 1st Pastor of the reorganized Big Bethel AME Church in 1866.  He was a positive leader in the Auburn Avenue Community.

2025 Pilgrims from Big Bethel AME Church arrive at the Tate Family Plot in the African American Burial area of Oakland Cemetry on Sunday September 28th 2025.  At each plot that they visit, they performed a thousand year old ritual. Pouring liquor on a grave to honor the dead which is called a libation, or more colloquially, "pouring one out". 

This ancient ritual involves symbolically offering a drink to the spirits or ancestors and is a practice found in many cultures and historical periods to show remembrance, respect, and connection to those who have passed.

During this Ceremony, which is a Call & Response, a passage remembering the dead is spoken in English.

Then, "A Shea! "  is spoken loudly.  Shea refers to the Shea Tree found in Africa.

It is said the Shea Tree was a common tree found where people were stolen into slavery from Africa.

In some West African traditions, shea trees and shea butter are used in funeral rituals and ceremonies to honor the deceased. However, there is no evidence to suggest that planting shea trees directly on or near graves is a common practice.

Pilgrims and Members of Big Bethel AME Church.  Among the Pilgrims on Sunday 9/28/2025 was Charles Moore at the age of 102 years old , walking with a walker.  A mighty man of Valor & World War 2 Veteran.
The tempature was recorded at 86 degrees Fahrenheit. All Guests from Memphis, Tn & Members completed the journey with Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jonathan C. Augustine.

My late Father once said, they can take everything from you, but not what is in your heart or soul.
A Shea!  A Shea!  A Shea!
