1) the country of Iran is a founding member of OPEC which was started in 1960.
2) OPEC stands for Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries.
Note: Iran is a founding member of OPEC & influence its decisions.

3) There are two Gulf bodies of water involved with many Nations.

Each of these bodies of water which are connected together flow into the Arabian Sea.
Is said, that Russia is setting its OPEC+ quota by observing talks to incite more increases in the production of oil to 9.762 million barrels per day (bpd) by June 2026.
The Arabian Sea is the Global Route to the Entire World. Russia negotiates with Iran and has influence.
