There is a distinct difference between vodou & Hoodoo.
Researching the area of East Point,
Georgia to which I moved has become eventful. I did not realize that
I would find myself talking about a sticky situation. So, here we go
to the best of my ability.
Voduo vs. Hoodoo.
This discussion
regards Enslaved African people who carried their traditions and
beliefs to America. I am a descendant of the African People that
practice Hoodoo. I am also a descendant of the Cherokee People as
well.
Growing up in the Southern Region of the United States
of America, I observed the Christian Belief combined with African
beliefs from the West portion of Africa where Hoodoo was
practice.
Hoodoo is a complex set of spiritual observances,
traditions, and beliefs mixed with the Native American Culture, yet ,
the Christian Religion is our belief.
