250 year Celebration with American Legion Post 264

I had the distinct pleasure to sat down, fellowship, and eat lunch with Veterans of the United States 
Military located in Mableton, Georgia on Thursday, July 9th 2026 at The American Legion Post 264.

As I walked in the facility, I observed a woman jumping up and down as if she was crazy.

I said to myself, “ What the hell...” and then I start giggling. This person obviously let her mental guard down playing a card game.

I later overheard a conversation that she was an expecting mother.

Nevertheless, in my mind, I could hear my late father say, “Girl, you better stop all of that and go sat yourself down somewhere.”

I later found out that she was a Veteran.

She was excited and having a great time playing the game of UNO.

As we all mostly sat and waited for lunch, groups of people hugged and welcome their colleagues while others start playing cards, such as SPADES.

Yet, even other people, male & female gathered together in conversation. I myself sat surprised.

Theses Veterans experienced life to the fullest in a moment of peace and humornily.
