East Point Georgia Fireworks 4th of July 2026

I must admit, as a Veteran of United States Marine Corps, I was actually impressed by the City of East Point, Georgia fireworks display.  To avoid flash backs of memories past throughout my entire life before becoming a United States Marine, during the tour and after my tour of duty. 

I walked away from the fireworks display while it continued into the night. 

Mentally, Morally and Spiritually this was something I had to learn to do and overcome.  There are many people and I mean many people who can not walk away from an experience that will transform them throughout their lives.

As a child growing up not far from Six Flags over Georgia on the west side of Atlanta, Georgia, I enjoyed the fireworks display in the summer days.

As a Marine throwing grenades, I quickly understood how the smell of gun powder, hot burning metal, and the deaf causing sound of an explosion was a way different magnitude.

Death is real and apart of life.  But, in my opinion, it is better to experience life until you die.  I believe this with my whole heart.

Once I got back to my place of residence, I look out the window to remind myself to continue placing distance between (PTSD) Post-traumatic stress disorder .

Now, I see why I have change for the better.
