How Do You Manage A Complexity?

by C. Henry Adams :

Below are excerpts from a recent Facebook Discussion:

How do you manage a complexity ( referring to anything in life that is humanly made complex)?

My Late Father (ML Adams) answered this question by stating the opposite.

He said, " You take a whole bunch of simple things, put them together to create a complexity ( complex thing / or situation)".

Thus, to manage a complexity, you break it down into simple things.  CH Adams

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Somebody said, "OK, Mr. Smartie Pants C. Henry Adams; give us an example of how and what your Dad said that actually applied in real life?"

My Reply: One of many Simple Examples and Lessons He ( My Late Father) taught was when I was a child... I was tasked or given the chore of raking the large backyard of leaves during the fall. I would guess the yard was nearly half an acre.

Utilizing his ( My Late Father) saying ( "You take a whole bunch of simple things, put them together to make a complexity") in reverse, I successfully rake the entire backyard in a timely manner, thus giving me time to go play with my friends.

He taught lessons in forward and reverse to say the least.  { No, to my knowledge - Dr. Howard Gardner and my late Father never met or knew each other.  LOL }

What this means is, if I was given a task to perform which appeared to be a problem to "Me".

He would in turn invoke me to " think (create a Plan of Action), know ( Try the plan, see what works and don't work) and then act ( Once you have sought out what worked, apply it the way you practice it or accordingly.)".

Regarding the leaves mentioned above, I figured if I raked leaves in small enough piles, then I could manage the collection; it would be easier for me to dispose of them quickly. The more piles of leaves disposed of... the less space of leaves covering the backyard. Once, I realized that I developed a technique, it was not hard to develop a system - an organized or established procedure from deductive reasoning.

Was a lesson taught or a series of lessons taught by my late Father?

What do you think?

132 Years Later Morris Brown College

by C. Henry Adams :

On a cold, wet and dreary afternoon, Saturday, December 14th 2013, I walked into a well lit, warm gym to the sounds of a "LIVE" Gospel Band  - also consisting of a choir of twenty-five or more singers.

It was not a concert that I observed, instead it was the Praise Team warming up the audience before the " Day of Praise & Thanksgiving Celebration " began.

It appears that when African Methodist Episcopalians have great news to share, they spare no expense to thank and praise God before revealing it.

In short, the service started with praise, comments, prayers, introduction of the main speaker, then the introduction of the main speaker's attorney who represented Morris Brown College to which he the Attorney reveals the great news regarding the college situation.

I can hear someone saying, " What's your point C. Henry? "

My Reply :
Well, you heard my story, here is my point within the story.   Morris Brown College ("MBC") started off 16 months ago with major threats of foreclosure and $34 Million Dollars in debt.

MBC filed for bankruptcy, reduced their debt from $34 Million Dollars of debt to $7.5 Million Dollars of debt.

Whereas, the AME Church is the only creditor ( $7.5 Million Dollars ) that MBC owes now.  Incidentally, the AME Church is the parent organization of MBC.

Furthermore, MBC has created a collaboration with WH Solis and Pope for a Land Development Plan to say the very least.  This plan requires MBC to sell certain properties.

Furthermore, MBC plans to support and educate US Veterans, they have setup a Student Internship Program and entered into creating a curriculum based on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).

This is a brief synopsis of the MBC Plan exiting Bankruptcy.

Hopefully, the US Federal Bankruptcy Court will approve their plan.  If so,  MBC will then move to regain accreditation in 12 to 18 months, while paying back the AME Church $6.4 Million Dollars of debt.

So, what do you think?

by C. Henry Adams:

You know, this commentary will start off with this...  LOL ( Laugh out Loud )    I would not put my trust in the communications plan per say after reading the Atlanta Business Chronicle the morning of December 11th 2013.  I would continue to put my trust in my God.

Why, the fact remains clear, someone in Cobb County saw an opportunity with the Atlanta Braves and powers that be, then took it upon themselves to seize a money maker WITHOUT making any of the deal public.

Was it right, as a Georgia Citizen concern about the economic development of Atlanta , Georgia; I don't - "NO".

Transparent or Transparency means that there is no veal (veil), no hiding, no secret deal; it means the business of something is clear.

Why would anyone trust someone or entity that says, " For now on, we will practice transparency?"

This simply means for now on, trust in your God and verify any business dealings with Cobb County in my opinion.

" Know what you are getting into, before you get into it. "   ML Adams

XL Academics Is...

by C. Henry Adams

As a student entering Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee for the first time in my life during the fall of 1989, I had no idea that today I would be a business owner, yet alone that my profession would be based in telecommunications.

I think the reason that I did not have a clue, was because I had not recognized my 'niche in life' at that particular time.

You see, like many students entering College or even High School  ( Young or Old ) , I had not yet explored my interests in life to which should fit the natural talents given at birth.

I hear someone asking the question, " What does niche and natural talents got to do with XL Academics?"

To answer this complex question, please allow me to break it down while alluding to what XL Academics is below:

Niche - a suitable place or likely suitable place.

Natural talents - Abilities given to a person at birth that stand out when identifying the individual.  e.g. The ability to compose music with ease or the ability to write a computer program with unique qualities or characteristics.

XL Academics provides 21st Century Solutions to 21st Century challenges surrounding the generational knowledge transfer gaps.

There have been 21 centuries ,whereas, history is accounted for in this World.   One century equals 100 years, thus every 100 years, the World appears to grow technologically advanced.

If people in the World fail to learn and grow at a pace compatible to the current World's pace, gaps or space in their advancement in life could be created.

XL Academics seeks to help the College and High School Student reach potentials locked deep down inside their minds.

Speaking of mind boggling stuff, can you see XL Academics wish you Happy Holidays and LIKE us on Facebook in this puzzle or encryption below?

OPT(ing) OUT APPEARS TO BE THE VIABLE OPTION

Let's see, there are over 300M three hundred million people in the United States of America.

There are 900 nine hundred plus pages of the ACA - Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare.

The U.S. Supreme Court calls the ACA a tax,  millions of people are losing there current health insurance policies.

The cost of health insurance rates are raising.  Not every Citizen of the United States will receive substantives to offset the cost of the mandated health insurance rate cost.

The lower the premium you select, the less likely the things you can get like possibly keeping your current Doctor.

More people could be added to Medicare as a result of the ACA or Obamacare.

Yes, these are notes I've taken.

Wait, there is more.  Today, December 1st 2013 - it is understood that 33,333 users can only go on Healthcare.gov to sign up in one hour which is about 800,000 users in 24 hours or 1 day.

Where do they get 50,000 users at a time?

Healthcare.gov still have errors of significant levels after 60 days from its launch.

Too many red flags for me, opt(ing) out appears to be the viable option.

Is the increase in the price of vitamin supplements a sign of the times?

So, what do you think?

How Much For The Turner Field?

by C. Henry Adams

Often times when economic opportunities end in an area, people cringe. But, what appears to be a disaster for some people, it could be very well a new opportunity for others.

That's why I am asking the question below:

Mayor of Atlanta and Chairman of the Board of Commissioners for Fulton County, are you all interested in selling Turner Field Stadium 'As Is' after the Braves leave to a Private Firm; to be utilized for special events and sporting activities?

If so, perhaps I might be able to draw interest to purchase it for those purposes.

With God, all things are possible.  I'm not just saying these things, I'm believing them to be a reality.

Dell Byrd Supports Education In Atlanta

by  C. Henry Adams

Quietly tucked away in an inner city Atlanta community,  Dell for the Board and Dell Byrd herself work diligently to say that it is not over.

I can hear somebody  asking me,  " What is not over, C. Henry ?"

My reply:   Dell Byrd is in a Runoff Election between Ms. Collins for the 6th District Seat of the Atlanta Board of Education.

On Tuesday, December 3rd 2013,  Dell Byrd is asking for your support because she cares.

Speaking of the word - "care".   I believe she has created an acronym that describes her well.

Committed.  Attentive. Responsible. Enthusiastic.

However, I notice that two words were missing.   Highly Intelligent.

I support Dr. Dell Byrd and I would like to encourage the voters in the APS School Board - District 6 to consider her for this particular seat.

Gone Atlanta Braves And The Economy Too...

Warning!  I maybe updating these comments while you are reading.  LOL

by   C. Henry Adams

Sorry,  but I did not have time during the rush hour to go by the 1996 built stadium in downtown Atlanta to snap a picture of it.  Now it (Turner Field Atlanta Fulton County Stadium)  is possibly slated for demolition.

Sorry, but it appears the people living in the Summer Hill and Mechanicsville Communities don't have a say regarding the future of the stadium as well.

I was on facebook today when a very good facebook friend posed a question to the Mayor of Atlanta regarding this outcome and wrote this acronym following her comment - " smh " or  " shake my head ".

Disclaimer:  I do not claim to know if the Mayor of Atlanta can see the person I'm not mentioning, facebook page, but I can...

To shake your head means to NOT understand or this is crazy, don't make sense or ridiculous in my professional opinion.

Somebody asked,  " So, what should we do next -  C. Henry?"

My Reply:  Huh?  You asking me?   Well, I guess it depends on how you see the glass.  Is it half full or half empty?

Here is what I see....  an opportunity to introduce another Major League Baseball Team to Atlanta, the South, the Country and perhaps the World.

Then I would guess somebody else would come behind the person to say...

" Ain't nobody got that kind of money, C. Henry! "

My Reply:  My late father use to say, if you don't have a job, create one.

Perhaps there is a need to create a New Team, Sports of something.

Let's Do Something...

Atlanta, State of Georgia, Southeastern Region of the USA or whoever, please consider the option.

Thanks!

The Questions After The US Government Averted A Complete Shutdown In My Mind

Notice:   Comments made by C. Henry Adams does not directly reflect the views or opinions of Broadcasting Interest Enterprise, Inc. ,as well as, BIE Media Group, LLC.  Nor will his statements in this discussion relate to any policy or procedures utilize to operate the companies.

By C. Henry Adams

You can call me ' Chief Just Running His Mouth ' or whatever.  But, I'm going to ask questions after the U.S. Government averted a complete shutdown whether liked or not.

Please forgive me for presenting the impression of arrogance.

Yes, my perspective is my perspective.  Yes, I'm a Moderate Conservative ( One that believes in tradition, but support change as well.).   No, I'm not a Republican and I'm wondering whether being a Democrat is not the answer neither.

Yes, I'm strong will and I will likely go over this blog and all other blogs written on several hot topics revolving around the U.S. Government with a ' fine tooth comb ' over and over again.

No, I will not disrespect the U.S. President, Barack Obama.   No, I do not like parts of the ACA aka 'Affordable Care Act of 2010' aka 'Obamacare' for specific reasons concerning the People of the USA, my family and myself.

Download ACA Law in PDF here:  http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/BILLS-111hr3590enr/pdf/BILLS-111hr3590enr.pdf

Thank God I live in the United States of America where I have the freedom of speech per the U.S. Constitution per the First Amendment.

That being said, I understand that the U. S. Supreme Court deem the ACA to be a tax, thus making it legal.

It is understood that the Republican & Democratic Parties both had a hand in the Partial Shutdown of the U.S. Government  regarding a number of reasons.  One of the reasons was the ACA which is my focal point in this blog.

I recently raised a question in social media in the third party, which is... " What is the definition of  "Affordable " in regards to the ACA?

Next question:  How many Americans actually took the time to read over 800 documents regarding regulations of the ACA?

Was there issues or do issues still exist with the Healthcare.gov website regarding registration?

Is $100 US Dollars per month or 8% of a $30,000 USD salary per year - really affordable when you fall in the age group between say 27 yrs old  to 40 yrs old  or even 40 yrs old to 65 yrs old ; whereas, your State has opt out of creating a Healthcare Exchange and the cost of living is already ridiculously high based on your pay?

I understand that there are a number of reasons people don't like the ACA.

I also understand that you can be penalized with a fine if you don't purchase Healthcare Insurance.

But, am I wrong for thinking that anybody or myself in the U.S. placed under the wrong circumstances could be impoverish as a result of the ACA?

Thanks for reading and I look forward to your positive or objectively positive responses.
