"Ride or Die, Do or Die that is the Question in 2011"

On Sunday, March the 20th, 2011; after reading many News articles online regarding the United Nations Resolution 1973 being enacted to create a No-Fly Zone over Libya, I made the following remarks via Tweeter and other social networks or media below:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alright, just running my mouth here. But, to abstain from voting is like 'setting on the fence & watching what happens before deciding'.

Whereas, when things get tough, certain people who talk tough decide they don't want anything to do with it. What's up with that nonsense?

I tell you what, maybe we need to stop trying to solve other people's problems. But, if we did, how could we call ourselves 'united'?

Just one more thing before I close my mouth. You ever heard of these sayings, "Ride or Die" (or) "Do or Die"? Well, they are REAL sayings.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The bluntly opinionated statements above by myself can be interpret in many ways. Therefore, it is my obligation to say that in the World, just like in a business or even in your community when dealing with a bad Neighbor; you will be forced at some point to make unpopular decisions or actions that are in the best interest of all people.

In doing so, you must utilize wisdom, seek wise counsel, not be hasty to jump in, create several plans of actions, be well aware of the consequences negative or positive while hoping for the best outcome for all that is involved.

What will make you successful in the long-term is not that you failed in the short-term, but that you did not give up, give in or give out.

There are people right now in the World, actually it appears in Libya who are dead, dying or willing to die for democracy.

Whereas, there are people who are alive in the country of Japan after enduring one of the worst earthquakes on record. Furthermore, who will have the determination and ability to live through a nuclear disaster ,as well as, observe many generations of Family die.

All these people need your support and or prayers. Yet, as they continue to survive, then live to prosper, let them motivate you to endure your circumstances.

You can ride or die, do or die in 2011. I choose to ride and do, not die.

What do I mean by the term 'ride'? It is meant to continue to struggle or endure whatever obstacle that is place in your way while maneuvering around it as you go forth toward the future.

What do I mean by the term 'do'? It is meant to balance your life and daily actions through work, grooming, dieting or eating right, resting, enjoyment, fellowship, doing the right things and much more to live a healthy productive life.

What do I mean by the term 'die'? For those of you who do not know what the opposite of life is, respectfully it means death.

Follow-up: 1st 2011 MBC Scholarship Walk/Run Committee Meeting held Jan. 27, 2011

Note: This private email has been
converted to an open letter.

Greetings Everyone,

First, I would like to apologize to every individual that received the previous email regarding the 1st 2011 Morris Brown College Scholarship Walk-A-Thon meeting as a very late notice.

That being said, the meeting went very well. The 2010 Chairman of MBC Scholarship Walk-A-Thon (Richard Johnson) gave me the opportunity to present a brief presentation on how we can "RAISE UP TO" 11 million dollars (USD) to support the students, as well as, the schools of Morris Brown College.

Furthermore, I want to thank Charrisse "Revv" Miles, Chaplain & Community Relations Chair of FrontRunnerz MC, Inc. for recommending FreeConference.com to perform conference call-ins.

We had 150 lines 'available & open' for Thursday, Jan. 27, 2011 from 4:45 pm to 6:40 p.m.

Nevertheless, we want to thank the President of Morris Brown College, Dr. Stanley Pritchett for dropping in briefly to speak with us while in route to his own 'State of the Union Speech' for Morris Brown College.

Furthermore, a motion was placed on the table, second, and approved; to revert back to 7K Route which goes from Morris Brown College through downtown Atlanta to Big Bethel AME Church (The birthplace of this great institution) and back again.

Note: The 2011 MBC Scholarship Walk/Run is scheduled to be held on September 10, 2011.

Nevertheless, I'm NOT going to reveal all the discussions that went on in this meeting, but it was my understanding that Morris Brown College is in the process of re-applying for their accreditation, as of December 2010.

Furthermore, the ideal approach to drawing Avid Walkers and Runners; is to get this event sanctioned by the U.S. Track & Field organization, similar to how the long standing Peachtree Road Race is currently setup.

Alright, that being said, Thursday February 3rd, 2011 at 5:00 p.m.; another meeting will be held in the Board of Trustees Conference Room of the Administration Bldg. next to the President's Office of Morris Brown College for the 2011 MBC Scholarship Walk / Run. (For more information, call me (404) 348-8319 & leave a message.)

Also, 150 telephone lines will be open to listen in by phone from 4:45 PM EST to 6:40 PM EST. Note: This call-in number has a Kentucky Area Code, so we suggest that you call the number utilizing a free long distance cell phone service.

Furthermore, if you would like to Sponsor the Call-in Conference Call for the 2011 MBC Scholarship Walk / Run Committee to show your support in helping Morris Brown College, which could be considered a 'Tax Write Off or Contribution' toward MBC as duly noted, holla at a Brother ASAP. LOL ( This is a FACT.)

However, here is the information on how to call-in. Please call in, even if you can only listen for 15 minutes or less. I recommend you call 15 minutes after 5:00 p.m. if you planning on listening for a few minutes:

Date: Thursday, February 03, 2011
Dial-in-Number: 1-270-696-1555 (Kentucky Area Code)
Number of Participants: 150
Start Time: 4:45 PM EST
End Time: 6:40 PM EST
Access Code to Meeting: 9649427

Thank you in advance for your consideration.

Metro PCS, OMG! What's Really Going On?

You know, it is my job to talk up a storm when it comes to useful technology. At no time should I utilize any cuss words when discussing technology. But, Metro PCS Customer Service, OMG (Oh My God), what is really going on?

On Facebook, within my private account, I've been known for making provocative comments while temporarily losing my mind as a President and CEO. I can hear somebody saying right now, "Oh C. Henry is trying to use that temporary insanity plea, yeah right, we know you Krazy. LOL" Nevertheless, realizing what I've said; we tend to erase the statement minutes later.

Well recently, I was chatting with some of my females classmates about an issue where their profile picture appeared to mysteriously change. During the conversation, a young lady suggested that Facebook themselves were actually changing the profile pictures through some sort of glitch found with Metro PCS Cell Phones that actually access the Internet.

Now, like all good researchers, we tried to confirm a conversation between a Customer of Metro PCS and the company by calling 1.888.863.8768 first, then calling 1.888.863.8768 second after 8:30 p.m. EST on a Saturday Night January 22, 2011 to no avail.

WOW! All we got was an automated machine voice that constantly lied to us about getting a "Live" person on the line. Now, if there is a glitch with Metro PCS phone and Facebook Profile Pictures changing on their own, we can't confirm or deny it.

But, we can confirm that Metro PCS should do a better job informing their customers that nobody is at "Home" to help them, instead of sending them on a wild goose chase.

What do you think?

No Pay No Restroom Equal Poor Customer Service Rating

In today's business environment, like anything else, you should be aware of your actions. It is true that in some neighborhoods in this current economy, we can assume that you will find homeless men, women and children. In some cases, they may even be mentally ill. But, this does not mean that as a business owner, you should treat them any differently than a paying customer.

Why? Well, because when you start profiling individuals due to the way they dress for instance, you might slip up and assume one thing about a President and CEO who regularly visit your establishment while paying for his meals accordingly, when actually its another.

Now don't get me wrong, I understand the rights of a business owner and I double and triple check quite often them from time to time.

However, having a security policy where if you're
not paying for a meal first, you can't use my
restroom?

So, are you telling me that if I had to utilize
the restroom really bad after traveling several
miles on the road, plus the fact that I was
hungry; I would have to risk urinating on myself
while standing in the line to pay to use your
restroom first. Out 'freaking' rageous!

Well guess what!? This incident where I
personally had to pay literally to use a
McDonald's Restaurant first, actually happened
to me December 29th, 2010.

I arrived at a Restaurant located in West
Atlanta off Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and actually
proceeded to the restroom.

Nevertheless, I was stopped by a Restaurant Employee
and told that I could not use the restroom until after
I bought an item from the menu first. This was confirmed
by a Patron and by a person that appeared to be
a Manager on duty.

Did I buy a cheeseburger to use the restroom? Yes?

In fact, after utilizing the restroom, I returned to
counter to pickup my cheeseburger and speak to
the Manager.

I told the Manager that she had lost a Customer, she
thanked me for my purchase and gave me the cheeseburger.

I proceeded to walk out the door and threw that
cheeseburger in the trash can in plain site of
other customers.

That saying about, 'watch who you entertain,
fore, you never know who dress up or down in
society is true' (I slightly modified it).

No pay no restroom equals a poor customer
service rating from me. Rest assured, I
will not return to that McDonald's nor
will I recommend it to no one; not even my
enemies.

So, what do you think?

Creditability & You

A Previous Microblog Broadcast by C. Henry Adams
Tuesday, October 19, 2010 9:00 a.m. EST

Note: This Microblog has been modified.

Good Morning, Good Afternoon and Good Evening World! How are you? Fine, I pray. Topic: Creditability & You.

You know, this saying is almost nearly true. If you want to destroy a person, kill their creditability in the people that surrounds them.

No, I'm not going to go 'Negative' in this Microblog, but I am going to discuss counter steps when someone attacks Your Creditability.

But, 1st- let's discuss the definition of Creditability briefly. It's the quality of being creditable, respected, trusted and believable.

I personally will admit, that in the Community where I grew-up, I might have lost creditability in a small number of people's eyes.

Why did I just say such a foolish thing? Well, listen- if I worried about the "little" people who never thought of me in a positive light...

Yes, I said "little" people, not referring to other Folks, just the negative ones, I grew-up with & now avoid; I would not own a biz. today.

That being said, here's a few ways to counter attacks to your Creditability as follows: 1) Don't give-up, give-in or give-out on your goals.

2) Speak to people positively, shake their hands if ever possible when greeting them. 3) Follow-up. 4) Stand up in what you believe in period.

5) Control your temper when faced with adverse situations and lower your voice to make your point in a discussion gone heated.

6) When they laugh at you, call you "Crazy" or even avoid making contact with you; know that there is a God, if you believe in God.

Finally, 7) Know that the experience you have gone through or going through is a TEST. Yes, it is... fore, if you survive it, you will prosper.

Creditability is built-in your personality and develops over years and decades. It is NOT easily destroyed, but it can be repaired.

Facing Adversities In Life As A Business Owner

A Previous Microblog Broadcast by C. Henry Adams

Note: This Microblog has been modified.

Good Afternoon, Good Evening and Good Morning World! How are you? Fine, I pray. Topic: Facing Adversities In Life As A Business Owner

Since July of 2009, I have been facing the consequences of one action that I will not soon forget.

It appears that taking "risks" for granted and not thinking things through will cause you to have many regrettable moments.

The risk I've taken have caused me to learn not one, but many hard lessons. Adversity is created through making wrong choices in life.

To overcome adversity, you must resist the temptation to give-in, give-out or give-up. Furthermore, you must accept consequences of your action.

In many instances, I have pulled what I will call a "Star Trek". Boldly go where No "AFRAID" Man has gone before.

Some have called me - "CRAZY". While others have shown respect. But, the ultimate reward is not recognition. Its the ability to OVERCOME.

I leave you with this question, in this recession. Are you, as a 'Business Owner' or just an 'Extraordinary Person'- ready to overcome your Adversity in Life?
